This program doesn’t just show you how to deal with a dog once it’s attacking – instead it teaches how to predict, prepare and protect yourself from a potential dog bite or attack. This means I feel much more confident about entering properties and knowing how to deal with any dogs there might be there. I know I will use the information I got from the course all the time.

      Course Details

Students will receive access to our secure online training portal to work through the program at their own pace.

The program includes a 9-module written course, video training and a comprehensive scenario based assessments at the end of the program.

At the end of the training you will be able to:

      • Understand how a dog interprets your body language and the messages you could be conveying
      • Interpret and react appropriately to early warning signs that a dog is stressed or fearful though their body language and other behaviours
      • Check dogs and their environment for safety risks
      • Negotiate a safe entrance into properties where a dog is present
      • Ensure safe delivery of goods and/or services to a private or commercial property where dogs may be present
      • Behave in ways that are likely to encourage positive dog behaviour during future visits
      • Talk supportively to dog owners who may need help in controlling their dogs
      • Avoid personal injury
