        Course Details

        The program includes access to our secure online training portal, 12-modules with multiple choice assessments, comprehensive video training, written and audio components, downloadable resources, and real-life scenarios.

        At the end of the course, you will be able to:

        • Recognise and assess dog and cat body language
        • Understand the behavioural characteristics of dogs and cats
        • Recognise canine aggression and the impact of fear, anxiety and stress
        • Understand the factors that influence aggressive behaviour in dogs and cats
        • Distinguish potential training problems Vs mental health disorders
        • Better understand the cause of common problem behaviours including barking, escaping, and biting
        • Use appropriate restraint equipment including muzzles, leads, collars, towels, crates, cages, and catch poles
        • Safely handle and restrain dogs and cats 
        • Assess potential risk and use appropriate control measures when entering a property or facility
        • Reduce the likelihood of critical and/or welfare incidents

        Tracey is one of Australia’s premier subject matter experts in animal behaviour and was the first South Australian to become a member of the Australian College of Veterinary Scientists in Veterinary Behaviour. 

        A fun, outgoing and extremely knowledgable educator Tracey currently runs programs for councils across Australia, as well as corporate and community organisations.

        As a consultant to the Adelaide courts on dangerous dog risks, a private practice Behaviour Veterinarian, and member of the Inter-agency Dog Bite Prevention Committee, Tracey delivers engaging, high energy, and evidence based training.
